Anna Paquin, a Canadian-New Zealander actor. Born in Winnipeg and was raised in Wellington Paquin began her acting debut in the role of Flora McGrath in the romantic drama film The Piano for which she received an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress at the age of 11, which makes her the second youngest winner in Oscar history. Canadian-born New Zealand actor who won the Academy Award as a youngster in the category of Best Supporting actress for acting as the bright and interesting daughter of Holly Hunter's leading part in The Piano. When she was in her teens, the actress made the move to America. Paquin started her acting career when she was a kid, with the role of the Jane Eyre main character in Franco Zeffirelli's Jane Eyre followed by she played a significant role on the film Fly Away Home. Paquin was in the role of Frankie Addams, a character from Carson McCullers' novel The Member of the Wedding in 1997. In Steven Spielberg's Amistad in 1997, she played the Spanish queen in a lesser role. The actress played teens in the films of Hurlyburly (1998), She's All That (2000), A Walk on the Moon (2000) as well as in the role of character of the polexia Aphrodisa groupie on the screen in Almost Famous (2000).
